My clients showed me exterior photos of what they both liked and I noticed they were all the same Arts and Crafts Bungalow style home plan, probably from an old Sears Home Catalogue. Some had stucco, some brick, some lap siding, but all the same design.

Sounds simple enough but their property was on a ridge overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains with a HUGE view. So, although the entry side of the home was the same composition as the catalogue pictures, you’ll find oversized windows in character with the Mission Style to take full advantage of the fantastic view. All interior trim and wainscoting is quarter sawn oak and the fireplace was designed as a Mission Style focal point.

This Arts and Crafts home is located in The Ramble. The Owners wanted to keep it a Not Too Big Home we opened up the kitchen to the dining and family room but made a living room into a small and quiet library/study.
